Telegram shop development: choosing a format and planning your store
A Telegram shop lets customers browse products, build a cart and place an order inside the messenger. If you want to build a shop in Telegram, the first decision is the format: a catalog delivered through bot chat, with photos and buttons, or a Telegram Mini App store with a storefront. Our price starts at $650 for a chat catalog and $1 050 for a Mini App. It suits Instagram and Telegram sellers, local shops and businesses with a Telegram audience. Manage products and orders in a web admin panel, with new orders sent to a Telegram chat or CRM. Customers need clear prices and delivery terms. You need orders that do not get lost. That is why we plan who will maintain the catalog, how checkout works and where customer details go before development begins.
Artbrain is based in Kharkiv and works across Ukraine. You speak directly with the developer. Below are the formats, base scope and paid options.
Telegram Mini App or a catalog in bot chat
A chat catalog presents each product as a message with a photo, short description, price and button. The buyer moves through categories using the bot menu. This works well for a small range of products that do not require much comparison. The seller updates products in a web admin panel.
A Telegram Mini App, also called a Telegram Web App, opens a storefront within the messenger. It can show categories, search, filters, product cards and a cart. Buyers can compare a longer catalog. The bot opens the shop and handles orders.
Choose based on the buying task. A short menu may work better in chat. A larger range with specifications and many alternatives usually calls for a Mini App storefront.
Telegram shop, hosted builder or online store website
A hosted builder can get a template store running quickly, but it usually charges a recurring subscription. Its provider controls the available fields, layouts and integrations, and keeps the data on its service. A custom bot or Mini App is paid for once as a development project. After payment, we hand over the code, and the store data belongs to you. We agree on integrations in the project specification.
A website matters when customers discover you through search or ads, or need to open the catalog outside Telegram. Custom online store development starts at $2 500, while the Artbrain Shop ready-made website starts at $700. Telegram suits existing message orders; a website helps when search traffic matters.
How an order moves through the shop
The buyer opens the catalog, selects a category, reads the product details and adds items to a cart. At checkout, they review the order and fill in a form. The form collects delivery details. The completed order reaches a manager in a Telegram chat and appears in the web admin panel. If a CRM connection is part of the specification, the order can be sent there as well.
The manager then checks the order and arranges payment and delivery. If online payment was included, the buyer goes through the payment step; otherwise your existing payment process applies. Filling in a delivery form does not automatically create a carrier label. We agree on required fields and the confirmations sent to both sides.
Payments in a Telegram bot
For physical products, we can add LiqPay or Monobank. Payment integration costs an additional $250. The specification states when a buyer proceeds to payment, how the manager sees the result and what happens to an unfinished order. You will need your own account or merchant setup. We check the payment flow before launch.
Some shops can start by collecting orders and letting a manager confirm stock or answer questions before asking for payment. Others need buyers to pay at checkout. Decide this before development because it affects checkout.
Who can use a Telegram store
An Instagram seller can share one catalog link instead of sending product photos and prices in every direct message. A Telegram channel owner can guide readers from a post to a product and order form. A business with an existing Telegram audience can keep a simple purchase journey inside the app people already use.
Possible niches include a coffee shop with a short menu, a florist with photos of arrangements, clothing or cosmetics with categories, and parts sold through a catalog with filters. These are example uses. A small assortment can work in bot chat. A larger one benefits from search and filtering in a Mini App. If buyers need advice, the bot can collect a clear request for a manager.
Telegram shop development price

The base includes menu and navigation, bot command handling, a web admin panel for products and orders, delivery of orders to a Telegram chat or CRM, server deployment and basic documentation. Adding a Mini App costs $400 on top of that base, giving a starting Mini App price of $1 050. We confirm final scope and price in the specification after the brief.

Project stages and what to prepare
- Brief. Tell us what you sell, who buys it and how orders arrive today. We record scope and price in the specification.
- Catalog and flow. Agree on categories, product cards, the cart, checkout form and the route an order takes to the manager.
- Development. Build the selected format, admin panel and paid integrations, then check the buyer journey.
- Launch and training. Test orders, launch the shop, show your team how to manage products and hand over the code after payment.
Bring a product list, photos, current prices, delivery terms, a bot name and an account or merchant setup if you want payments. A draft catalog helps us plan filters and checkout. We set the timeline in the specification after the brief. For more context, see our chatbot development page and article on Telegram bots for business.
